Water Reuse Projects: Design, Build & Operate
ALLIANCE ENVIRONMENTAL,
helped establish the first water reuse utility company under the regulation of the New
York State Public Services Commission and is currently involved in a number of water reuse projects in New York City that involve wastewater, grey water and storm water concepts. Example projects include, but are not limited to:
The Solaire, Battery Park City, NY: The first residential water reuse project in the United States. The water reuse system services a 293-unit residential high-rise apartment building. The reused water is used to flush toilets, make up cooling tower water and for landscape irrigation within Teardrop Park and the projects green roof. The Solaire was rated one of the top 10 Green Buildings in 2004 by the American Institute of Architects and received LEED Gold Certification.
